2018 + January Goals

2018 has officially begun and it seems like the perfect time to start both my goals, and this blog! The year ahead will be full of a lot of life changes (graduating law school, moving from Canada to the United States, and getting married) and I want to make sure that I take the time to enjoy all these moments, while preparing for the future.

2018 Year Goals 
  1. Take time to record moments! This goal really underlines the decision to start this blog. I've always been someone who tries to avoid documenting moments in favour of 'living in them', but what I've come to realize is that its important to document things as a way to share with other, or yourself down the road. Hopefully this blog allows me to accomplish that - especially during this important time in my life. 
  2. Run at least 2 half marathons. I ran my first half marathon in September, and while it was great, I think I need to do a better job of training and running the next time (I wasn't as fast as I could have been, and my recovery was harder as I wasn't as consistent as I should have been while training). Running 2 half marathons will allow me to improve my time, and build my body to a point where I can recover quickly! 
  3.  Find out what sort of food system works best for my body. I'm someone who has constantly struggled with gut problems, and I've decided that this is the year to get my body in check. Bring on the whole 30s, low fodmap and keto systems - its time to figure out what helps me feel the best. 
  4. Graduate from Law School. The countdown is on! I'm hoping to engage more with the law school community, and really enjoy my last time as a student. 
  5. Pass the Bar!!! I write the bar this July - wish me luck!
  6. Plan an amazing wedding to start an amazing marriage! September 2018 we are coming for you!
January Goals 
  1. Have an amazing Bachelorette at the end of the month to celebrate both my marriage and my friendships! 
  2. Finish all law school readings assigned for the month, by the end of the month (this has proven to be a challenge in the past, but keeping on top of assignments will help me keep on track, and allow me to engage with friends) 
  3. Try out PopPhysique and consider signing up for their "unlimited classes for $75" special (going at least 3x a week)
